Kevin Dunn Appointed President of Playtex Consumer Products Division

Playtex Products, Inc. announced today that Kevin M. Dunn will join the company as president, consumer products division, effective July 31. Mr. Dunn, 47, will report directly to Michael R. Gallagher, Playtex’s chief executive officer. In his new position, Mr. Dunn will be responsible for overseeing brand management, product development and sales for the Company’s market-leading sun care, household products and personal grooming businesses, including Banana Boat, Woolite rug & upholstery cleaners, Playtex gloves, Binaca breath freshener, and Ogilvie home permanents. “Kevin brings 25 years of extensive management, global marketing and strategic planning experience in the consumer products industry,” said Mr. Gallagher. “He has a proven track record in building well- known brand franchises and leading high-performance teams in the development and execution of successful strategies to accelerate growth and profitability. Moreover, he shares with us a strong belief in consumer-targeted marketing initiatives and brand innovation, which have been critical elements of our marketplace success.”

Mr. Dunn joins Playtex from Reckitt & Coleman, Inc., a leading international manufacturer of household and over-the-counter pharmaceutical brands, where he was president of household products, North America. He also served as the company’s global category director, fabric/laundry care (1988) and president, food products division ,North America (1995-1997). He held various executive positions with L&F Products, a subsidiary of Eastman Kodak, from 1988 until the subsidiary was sold to R&C in 1995. From 1981 to 1988, Mr. Dunn held brand and category management positions with L&F; prior to that, he held various marketing and sales assignments with Nabisco Brands and Borden, Inc.
