Keystone Completes Acquisition of Make Up My Cosmetics

Nail coatings division takes on cosmetics company in San Diego.

Keystone Industries has finalized the acquisition of Make Up My Cosmetics (MUMC), a renowned full-service provider of custom cosmetic formulations and packaging. The acquisition expands Keystone’s portfolio of beauty products as Keystone strives to offer one-stop shopping to its beauty partners and their brands.

MUMC, located in San Diego, CA, has been in business nearly 15 years. MUMC has grown its business by focusing on customized color cosmetics without burdensome minimum ordering quantities. This strategy rapidly expanded their base of customers, without sacrificing individualized attention and customer service, which separates MUMC from its competitors. Many of the brands MUMC serves receive high praise from professional publications and can be purchased in in high-end department and specialty stores worldwide.

“The acquisition allows MUMC access to Keystone’s global R&D resources. This will enable us to offer a much broader range of innovative products, packaging and ideas,” stated Carol Neary, founder of MUMC, who will continue in her role as the President of the division. The company will remain in San Diego.

MUMC joins the Keystone Industries portfolio of beauty companies: Keystone Research & Pharmaceutical, Interfilling, Polychromatic and Centre 7.
