Natural/organic family lifestyle magazine KIWI has named the winners of its first KIWI Natural Beauty Awards. According to the publication, hundreds of products were evaluated in categories that covered a range of products from cleansers to lotions to shampoo to lipstick. Every product that was nominated for the awards passed a “strict toxicity test,” scoring three or lower on a 10-point scale in the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Cosmetics Database, according to Kiwi. Here’s a look at some of the winners: Best Moisturizer: The Cream Nourishing Face Cream Best Primer: Cover FX Illuminating Primer Best Facial Cleanser: Blissoma Rejuvenating Herbal Gel Cleanser & Makeup Remover Best Foundation: Alima Pure Satin Matte Foundation Best BB Cream Rawskinceuticals Cosme.Ceuticals Crème Foundation with SPF 20 Best Face Powder: Jillian Wright Complexion Perfection Finishing Powder Eye Pencil: Jane Iredale Eye Pencil Best Eye Shadow: Josie Maran Argan Beautiful Eyes Best Mascara: Tarte Lights, Camera, Splashes Waterproof Mascara Best Lip Stick: Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick Best Nail Polish: Londontown Lakur: Enhanced Colour Best Shampoo: Everyone Hair Nourish Sulfate-Free Natural Shampoo Best Hair-Styling Product: A Beautiful Life Unicorn’s Mane Smoothing Serum The publication worked with a panel of natural-beauty experts that included Kristen Arnett, founder of greenbeautyteam.com; Sarita Coren, blogger at ediblefacial.com; and Sophie Uliano, author of Gorgeously Green. In addition, the nominated products were also tested by mothers across the country and KIWI editors.
