Korean men want to look their best and they are willing to pay for it. Sales within the Korean men’s cosmetics makret jumped 17% last year to 610 billion won, according to Korean Times.

Why the surge in interest? Industry observers said it’s because it isn’t taboo anymore for a man to care about his looks, which is why beauty-conscious men who are both masculine and stylish are no longer grooming with their bathroom doors shut. The increase in interest on grooming should provide a boost to local and multinational cosmetics companies.
