Lavera Lands at Target

European brand features natural personal care and cosmetics.

Joining Weleda and Burt’s Bees in the burgeoning beauty aisles at Target, European naturals brand Lavera is the latest addition to the mass market’s “green” offerings. The skin care, hair care and cosmetics range offers an array of gentle, natural formulas developed with efficacious organic ingredients to care for even the most sensitive skin, according to the company.

Among the products now offered at Target are Lavera bestsellers such as the Volume Mascara with extracts of organic jojoba and wild rose oils, Mango Milk Hair Conditioner developed for color-treated tresses and a Calendula Balancing Cream, which contains calendula, peach, apricot and other plant-based ingredients to hydrate the skin without clogging pores.

Since its founding in 1987, Lavera brand grown to include more than 300 natural and organic skin care products. Lavera health and beauty products are currently sold in more than 24,000 locations in 25 different countries. According to the company, it boasts a 27% market share in general health and beauty as well as a 50% market share in sunscreen. Headquartered in Kirkland, Washington, the North American Division was formed in the late 1990s.
