L’Oreal Appoints Caruso Head of Communications

Rebecca A. Caruso has been named executive vice president, corporate communications and external relations for L’Oreal USA. Ms. Caruso joins L’Oreal with more than 20 years of public relations and corporate communications experience. In her new capacity, she is responsible for the management of all internal and external communications and diversity initiatives for L’Oreal USA. In addition, Ms. Caruso will direct the company’s government relations and corporate philanthropy areas.

She replaces John R. Wendt, executive vice president, corporate and public affairs, who will retire in December after 23 years with L’Oreal USA.

Prior to joining L’Oreal, Ms. Caruso was vice president, corporate communications for Toys “R” Us, Inc. in Paramus, NJ, where she managed the public relations, communications and philanthropy efforts for the company and its six divisions. Before that, Ms. Caruso served in several communications capacities at McDonald’s Corporation in Oak Brook, IL, including director of media relations and director of US communications. She also spent several years in the automotive industry with Chrysler Motors and American Motors in public relations positions.
