L’Oreal Paris Division Appoints Hamilton as President

Carol J. Hamilton has been named president of the L’Oreal Paris brand division. During her 17 years with the company, Ms. Hamilton most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of the division. She joined L’Oreal USA in 1984 as director of marketing for company’s former cosmetic division. The L’Oreal hair care and cosmetic divisions merged in 1996 and Ms. Hamilton was appointed senior vice president, marketing, L’Oreal Paris brand division. She was promoted to general manager in 2000.

“Carol’s marketing talent and business skills have contributed greatly to the L’Oreal Paris brand’s consistent growth in the US,” said Jean-Paul Agon, president and chief executive officer, L’Oreal USA. “Among her many successes, she can be credited with developing L’Oreal’s hair color business into the number-one position in the US.”

Ms. Hamilton will continue to report to Joseph Campinell, president, L’Oreal consumer products division.
