L’Oréal Patents Water-Soluble Wet Wipe

Different nonwoven sheets contain makeup removal oil and an anhydrous surfactant.

US Patent No. 11,654,089 B2 (Michael Robinson, Jean-Pascal Hirt, William Bickford); L'Oréal, Paris, has patented a cleansing pad comprising two or more nonwoven sheets comprising water-soluble fibers. Each sheet is designated to perform a different function.

The sheets are soluble in running or standing water having a temperature of 30°C or less and durable when contacted with an anhydrous formulation comprising five weight percent of water or less.

The first sheet is soaked in makeup removal oil and at least a second sheet includes an anhydrous surfactant.
