L’Oreal USA, New York, has been named one of America’s Safest Companies by Occupational Hazardsmagazine, a national publication for occupational safety and health professionals. The award is presentedannually and recognizes companies for outstanding occupational safety and health programs andprocesses for their employees.“L’Oreal USA has a long-standing commitment to the health, safety and well-being of its employees,and we’re proud to be recognized for our efforts and innovative programs in this area,” said Mr.Jean-Christophe Sautory, senior vice president, corporate manufacturing, L’Oreal USA.L’Oreal USA was also recognized last year by Mr. John Henshaw, assistant secretary of the U.S.Department of Labor and the head of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), whenL’Oreal USA announced its pledge to achieve OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Statusat all of its eight U.S. manufacturing plants within five years. So far, four have achieved VPP Star Status(Franklin, Clark and Piscataway, NJ and North Little Rock, AR).
