Mary Kay Patents Wrinkle Treatments

The separate compositions feature Commiphora mukul resin and a hydrolyzed algae extract.

Mary Kay has been awarded two new patents for compositions that treat wrinkles in skin.

In US Patent No. 11,911,494 B2 (Tiffany Florence, Michelle Hines, David Gan, Wanli Zhao); Mary Kay, Inc. has patented a method of firming a person's skin by topically applying a composition that contains Commiphora mukul resin or an extract thereof that includes oleo gum resin, glycerin, water and hyaluronic acid or a salt form thereof.

In US Patent No. 11,911,635 B2 (Tiffany Carle, Bob Foley, Julia Collier, Wanli Zhao, Geetha Kalahasti), Mary Kay has patented a method of treating skin with a fine line or wrinkle by topically applying an oil-in-water emulsion composition that contains a hydrolyzed algae extract comprising exopolysaccharides from Halymenia durvillei; and and a saccharide isomerate comprising an exopolysaccharide synthesized by Vibrio alginolyticus.
