Mibelle Biochemistry Joins Solabia Group

The duo creates an independent player for high-performance actives.

Solabia Group has entered into an agreement to acquire Mibelle Biochemistry, the Swiss innovator known for its high-performance active ingredients for the cosmetics space.

The transaction is expected to close in the coming months. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Innovative Actives

Founded in 1991 in Switzerland as part of the Mibelle Group, Mibelle Biochemistry offers an innovative portfolio spanning skin and beauty, healthy aging, hair care and cognitive support. Its roster of ingredients include components such as SenoCellTec, a next-generation senolytic active designed to rejuvenate the skin by targeting the root causes of aging.

Solabia says the the acquisition of strengthens its leadership in natural and high-performance active ingredients by bringing together two science-driven organizations with highly complementary expertise in advanced biotechnology, plant-based science and sustainable innovation.

Customers will benefit from a broader portfolio while continuing to rely on the known Swiss‑made quality of Mibelle Biochemistry, according to Solabia.

Mibelle Biochemistry, part of Mibelle Group, develops and produces science-backed active ingredients for the cosmetics as well as the nutraceutical industries. Known for pioneering plant stem cell technology (PhytoCellTec) and using modern biotechnology, MIbelle Biochemistry’s actives are available in more than 50 countries.

Mibelle Group was acquired Persán, of Spain, in May 2025.
