Micro Powders Inc. (Booth No. 419) has expanded its Naturebead and Microslip lines with new products designed to deliver formulation benefits demanded by today’s cosmetic and skin care chemists. New Naturebead C14, a combination of rice bran wax and cocoa seed butter, is a spherical powder that is deigned as a non-irritating exfoliating agent. Its shape allows the particles to gently roll across the skin, which makes it a perfect ingredient for skin care applications including exfoliating scrubs, soaps, and facial, body and foot scrubs. An off-the powder, Naturebead C14, has a wax-like odor, according to the company. The latest addition to the Microslip range is Microslip 684S, which is an odorless, white powder produced from 100% virgin grade polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE), Spherical in shape it has an extra fine particle size to aid in dispersibility, lubricity and feel, making it well suited to color cosmetics (face powders, blushes, mascara eyeshadows and bases) as well as sunscreens foundations, shaving gels, creams and lotions, according to Micro Powders.
