Molly Sims, spokesmodel for CoverGirl and star of NBC-TV’s hit show Las Vegas, will host Pratt Institute’s Luxe Pack Art of Packaging Award honoring Procter & Gamble Beauty on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at New York’s University Club. Marc S. Pritchard, president, global cosmetics and hair colorants, P&G Beauty, will accept the award.

The event benefits the Marc Rosen Scholarship for Graduate Design, which was established 16 years ago. Scholarships are awarded to promising Pratt students who attend the world’s only graduate program in perfume bottle design, taught by designer Mr. Rosen. At the event, bottles and packaging designed by the winning students will be on display.

Previous recipients of the Art of Packaging Award include Bath & Body Works, Estée Lauder, Coty, Inc., Ralph Lauren Fragrances, Calvin Klein, Lancôme, Avon and Intercosmetics. P&G Beauty was selected as the 2006 honoree as a result of its longstanding commitment to delighting consumers through innovation and integrating holistic product design.

Pratt founded the Marc Rosen Scholarship for Graduate Design in 1989. Many of the program’s graduates have gone on to illustrious careers in bottle and packaging design for the fragrance and cosmetics industry. More info: 212-925-2507.
