More than 8,000 Attend NYSCC Suppliers’ Day

The results are in, the numbers tabulated and organizers say that the 2010 version of New York Chapter of Society of Cosmetic Chemists’ Suppliers’ Day attracted 8,306 visitors. That makes it one of the largest events in the global personal care industry.

“The New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists board is delighted by the high turn-out and positive feedback received for its recent Suppliers’ Day tradeshow,” said Bill Woods, NYSCC Chair 2010.”Each year the challenge is the same: how can we improve the Suppliers’ Day program and make it better than the last?”

For a number of years, the Chapter has attempted to broaden the appeal of the show beyond the New York region. This year, with the participation of the French Trade Office, the Chapter has passed a milestone that places the show on a global stage, according to Woods. Next year, the Chapter intends to continue to broaden the appeal to exhibitors and attendees from outside the New York region by making easier for those outside the region to exhibit and/or to attend.

“The Chapter’s intent with this trade show is to infuse vitality and enthusiasm into the personal care industry by bringing the most interesting and innovative ingredients and technologies under a single roof.We appreciate the support of our membership, exhibitors and attendees because without their support the show would not have risen to the height that we just witnessed.“
