MoveOn, the organization focused on mobilizing the left to elect Democrats and enact progressive change, unveiled its new Nail the Vote Campaign timed to the final weeks of the 2022 election season.

Nail the Vote will engage key audiences by meeting them where they're at, using art and culture as an entry point to promote voting, with limited-edition product offerings and celebrity partnerships.

“We are thrilled to kick-off the Nail the Vote campaign timed to the 2022 election season,” said MoveOn Executive Director Rahna Epting. “Cultural interventions allow us to build power by leveraging communities to connect with messaging through shared interests and experiences, especially the Gen Z and Millennial demographics we hope to reach with this campaign. The limited-edition nail wraps and bespoke celebrity designs beautifully communicate the Nail the Vote message. We hope they will encourage people to get out to the polls this November!”

MoveOn has partnered with TaskForce, an independent agency working at the intersection of art and social justice, to take on some of the most pressing challenges facing our world, to create two limited-edition voting-themed nail wrap designs. The nail wraps are available here. MoveOn and TaskForce commissioned fine artist Ariel Wilson to create the custom designs.

Nail the Vote will give participants the chance to multiply their vote with vote tripling, a tactic proven to multiply impact at the polls, asking them to post photos of their nail wrap designs to social media using the hashtag #NailTheVote22 and tagging three friends.

To maximize awareness of the campaign, MoveOn x Nail the Vote will also partner with high-profile nail artists to create bespoke, voting-themed nail art for their celebrity clientele. The designs will be shared via the artists’ and celebrities’ social media channels, with calls to action using the #NailTheVote22 hashtag. Confirmed nail artist partners include Latress, Miho Okawara, Bel Townsend, and others, while celebrity partners include Hannah Bronfman, Natasha Rothwell, Elizabeth Gillies, Jaime King, and Jessica Marie Garcia.

MoveOn x Nail the Vote limited-edition nail wraps are available at nailthevote.com for a $15 contribution per set.
