Briogeo founder Nancy Twine is stepping down as chief executive officer. She will remain with the haircare company in a founder’s role and stay “very much engaged in the business,” according to a Briogeo spokesperson.

Nancy Twine, who founded the company more than a decade ago and sold it to the Wella Co. in 2022, has stepped down as chief executive officer of the clean haircare brand. She is remaining on as founder and is still “very much engaged and active” in the business, a spokesperson for the company confirmed.

Kristen Blandon is president of Briogeo and leading the business. Blandon joined Briogeo in that role nearly a year ago.

Twine founded Briogeo in 2013, capitalizing on the growing demand for “clean beauty” and prestige haircare formulas. During the past decade, she created a content hub, NancyTwine.com, and a $1 million grant for female founders known as the Dream Makers Founder Grant. Twine’s fund collaborates with Sephora‘s Accelerate incubator program and the Fifteen Percent Pledge.
