At In-Cosmetics 2011, Naolys (Stand No. C70F), the French company that specializes in plant cell culture, will be the first to launch active plant cells with brightening activity from Madonna lily (lilium candidum). Bright Light Madonna Lily is an active ingredient that regulates skin pigmentation by limiting the transfer of melanine from melanocytes to keratinocytes. In vitro tests show a decrease of the expression of PAR-2 by 13% and a decrease of the transfer of melanosomes by 12%, associated with an increase of epidermis regeneration by 13%. In addition, it succeeds in decreasing spots by 9% and contrast by 11% on the face (mexametric measurement of melanine index – 56 days of treatment – clinical testing). Both tests used a concentration of 0.1% of a powder made of 100% plant cells. Bright Light Madonna Lily is an active ingredient that can be used in any formulation from skincare to makeup ranges.
