Net Sales for Colgate-Palmolive Increase 5%

Organic sales increased by 8.5%.

Net sales for Colgate-Palmolive Co. increased 5% in Q4 for fiscal year 2022, surpassing estimates. The increase represents $4.629 billion over the consensus, which was $4.59 billion.  
 
Organic sales increased by 8.5%. Total oral, personal and home care net sales increased by 1.4% to $3.6 billion.
 
During the quarter, Colgate-Palmolive took a non-cash, after-tax charge of $620 million to adjust the carrying values of goodwill and intangible assets regarding the Filorga skin health business.
 
Selling, general and administrative expenses rose to $1.6 billion, or 2.1%.
 
Company CEO and Chairman Noel Wallace said Colgate-Palmolive is strengthening and scaling its digital, data analytics and innovation across the company. 
 
Colgate anticipates an organic sales growth of 2%-5% for fiscal year 2023.
