In-Cos attendees invited to experience the benefits for themselves.
April 7, 2011

During In-Cosmetics, Croda invited editors and attendees to experience the benefits of their new product launches for themselves. For example, visitors had the opportunity to feel Croda’s new moisturizing complex, DuraQuench IQ. Its dual mechanism optimizes skin moisturization by the formation of an intelligent structural layer on the surface of the skin, while regulating water loss from within by reinforcing the skin’s natural barrier. In tests, DuraQuench IQ significantly improved the visual signs of skin dryness as viewed as the result of a Moisture Efficacy Test. Also new at In-Cosmetics, was NatraGem S150, the latest natural solubilizer in the NatraGem range. In tests against Polysorbate 20 and PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, NatraGem S150 proved to be the best performer when tested with a range of lipophilic actives and active carrier oil ingredients to discover which had the lowest surfactant:oil ratio to produce a clear solution after 24 hours. All NatraGem products are Ecocert-approved, cold processable, ultimately biodegradable and free from ethoxylates and propoxylates. Finally, 2011 marks the 40th anniversary of Croda’s entry into biopolymers, as the company launched a hydrolyzed gelatin powder in 1971. Since then, Croda has launched many more biopolymers, including Crotein Q, quaternized protein derivatives in 1976; amino acid complexes with the launch of silk and collagen amino acids in 1978 and wheat based proteins in 1985.
