New Scents from Cartier and Prada Set to Debut

Two upscale fashion players, Cartier and Prada are ready to roll out new fragrances. Cartier’s new women’s fragrance Baiser Volé, due out within the next two weeks, is meant to become a pillar in the brand’s scent portfolio.The lily-infused scent will come out in mid-July exclusively in Nordstrom in the U.S. It will then be rolled out to the rest of the world in September,with the exception of China, where it is to be introduced in January 2012 in about eight department store locations. In all, Baiser Volé will be in some 10,000 doors globally. In France, Baiser Volé’s 30-, 50- and 100ml eau de parfum sprays are to retail for 46 euros, 65 euros and 92 euros, respectively. The 30ml. extract will be 124 euros, and the line also includes three ancillary products.

A bit later, in September, Prada will roll out Prada Candy. The musk scent’s major notes are Laotian benzoinand caramel. In the US, Prada Candy will be available as eaux de parfum in two sizes — 1.7oz for $80 and 2.7oz for $108, along with a 5oz body lotion, $50, and a 5oz shower gel, $42. A body scrub, 6.75oz for $75, will debut this fall. The scent will be launched first in the US, followed by Europe, Asia and the Middle East in September, said Albesa. Latin America will get the scent in spring 2012.
