New Sunscreen from Shiseido

The Japanese brand partners with surfers for its new launch.

Shiseido has rolled out Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion SPF 50+ just in time for National Sunscreen Day. The new product is ocean-friendly and Hawaii-compliant (free of oxybenzone and octinoxate), so the campaign focuses on ocean conservancy and the relationship with the surfing community. 
 
The campaign stars two surfing influencers who are WSL top 20 professional surfers: Lakey Peterson and Sage Erickson. A film was shot last December in Australia to get authentic surf action. The company also has a four-minute documentary-style entertainment piece that will go live on YouTube.
 
Shiseido has a global partnership with the World Surf League (WSL) and in the US, the company is the official sunscreen of WSL. The brand will also partner with the charity WSL Pure.
