Legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus and Randall International, have signed a licensing agreement to manufacture and distribute a rejuvenating line of sun care products under the Nicklaus name. The Nicklaus line will be among the first sports sun care products affiliated with an internationally recognized golfer.

The Nicklaus and Lady Nicklaus sun care line is expected to debut this month in select golf shops and resorts worldwide. There will also be a Nicklaus custom-label line for clubs and resorts around the world.

“Being a professional golfer, golf course designer and avid outdoorsman, I have spent a tremendous amount of time in the sun,” said Mr. Nicklaus said. “In fact, it’s been said that I have walked over 10,000 miles in tournament play alone. So, I care a great deal about the care of my skin, and the potential damage or harm caused by the sun.”

According to Mr. Nicklaus, his sun care products does not leave an oily residue on a golfer’s hands that makes gripping the golf club a problem. Although targeted to golfers, the Nicklaus and Lady Nicklaus lines will have universal appeal because they will feature two patented formulas. The patented Parsol 1789 and the addition of Randall’s patented sun care formula shield against both UVB (burning) rays and UVA (aging) rays for broad-spectrum protection against sunburn, premature aging of skin, wrinkling, and skin cancer. Also, within seconds of applying Randall’s patented formula, the product smoothes to a skin-conditioning powder so there is no residue, oiliness or stickiness to inhibit performance.
