NYSCC Charity Event Nets $10,000

Boat ride benefits "Look Good...Feel Better."

More than 160 members of the New York Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and their guests were welcomed by Bill Woods, 2010 chapter chairman, to the first annual NYSCC Chairman’s Charity Event at newly restored historic CentralRailroad of New Jersey Terminal located in Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. The event was held Jan. 23.

The highlight of the eveningwas the official presentation of a check for $10,000 to the Personal Care Products Council in support of The Council’s “Look Good…Feel Better” program. Joseph Albanese, 2009 Chair, presented the $10,000 check to Lisa D. Burris, director of Personal Care Product Council’s Look Good…..Feel Better (LGFB) program.

LGFB is a free, non-medical, brand-neutral, national public service program founded in 1989 and supported by corporate donors to help women offset appearance-related changes from cancer treatment. It offers group programs and other services for women in English in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. International programs are offered by LGFB sister organizations around the world.
