OPI at High Speed With Danica Patrick

Gel color spokesperson places well in NASCAR.

In the midst of her new OPI GelColor campaign, Danica Patrick becomes the first woman in NASCAR’s premier division to ever win a pole. A woman of consistently proven strength and ability, Danica Patrick was a natural choice for an ad campaign whose theme is “Endurance.”


“I need my OPI nail polish,” says Danica in an interview with ESPN, just after the big race. “I just got the nail polish deal with OPI and I love it. I put it on three weeks ago and it still looks good even after getting sandblasted on the beach.”


“Danica Patrick’s successful track record is emblematic of OPI’s GelColor and its message—‘Color Endures at the Speed of Life,’” said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI executive VP and artistic director.



Aside from a long-lasting formula, OPI GelColor’s sales also show signs of endurance.



“OPI GelColor is in over 100 countries worldwide, and similarly to Danica Patrick, it is truly ahead of its competition,” she added.



According to Fischmann, the OPI GelColor line is trending toward $100 million in distributor sales.
