Jason Wu looked to modernist artist Charley Harper and the Maharaja for inspiration for his pre-fall 2012 collection, which he unveiled on Friday, Dec. 2. Wu’s use of delicate beading, embroidery and jewel-toned colors on luxurious sweaters, pointy-collared blouses and tailored outerwear was complemented with OPI Nail Lacquer in Got the Blues for Red on models’ hands. This rich blue-based red hue offers a classic, regal look with cool undertones to perfectly accessorize Wu’s runway creations, according to the company.

For Spring 2012, OPI will launch the Holland Collection. Inspired by the country’s range of “stunning shades,” as seen in vivid tulips, windmill-dotted hillsides and bustling canals, the collection’s 12 hues offer a mixture of sophisticated neutrals and highly-pigmented brights. The range hits stores in February.
