UV-cured gel nails are all the rage this year, and OPI is the latest marketer to jump on board with GelColor, a professional treatment featuring full-gel lacquers that apply in minutes, for manicures and pedicures that last two to three weeks, according to the company.

GelColor is applied like traditional nail lacquer and flash LED UV-cured in a total of four minutes (almost four times faster than standard gels). The line debut will include 28 of the most sought-after OPI hues – along with base and topcoats – to produce glossy, smooth, chip-free color.

“We are very excited to present this groundbreaking treatment,” said OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director Suzi Weiss-Fischman. “Now, women can get long-lasting gel manicures in the same time as a traditional manicure service, without waiting for nails to dry – wearing their favorite OPI color on nails and toes for weeks at a time, without chipping.Plus, the formula is incredible, offering our shiniest finish to date.”

GelColor is an in-salon, professional product only. The service will be available beginning November 2011 at select Ulta locations and select professional salons, with full national distribution beginning January 2012. Prices depend on the salon and range from $35-$55 for a manicure, according to OPI.
