U.S. Patent No. 7,736,629 B2; Colgate-Palmolive Company has received a U.S. patent for a tooth powder that contains calcium carbonate having a particle size and angularity effective to provide mild abrasivity to dental enamel, red iron oxide of low abrasivity, which imparts a red color to the composition, and a herbal component.


Liquid Applicator Patented By SC Johnson

U.S. Patent No. 7,743,443 B2; S.C. Johnson has patented a method for applying a functional formulation on a surface. It entails providing an applicator with a reservoir containing the formulation, a valve assembly connected to the reservoir and a shell accommodating a ring of absorbent pads connected to an actuator for rotating the pads to move one into alignment with and extending through the opening of the shell. The formulation is delivered to the surface through the valve assembly.


Topical Deodorant With Natural Ingredients

U.S. Patent No. 7,736,632 B2; Cynthia DeLaney Gorman of Winnetka, CA has patented a topical deodorant composition that contains unrefined shea butter, sodium bicarbonate, cornstarch, cocoa butter, clary sage oil, benzoin gum tincture, coconut oil, lavender oil and optionally, vitamin E and oil extracts.


Water Vapor Cleaning System

U.S. Patent No. 7,743,777 B2; Vicki L. Gilman of Las Vegas, NV has patented a water vapor cleaning system for use with an existing plumbing system. The system is comprised of a vapor-producing chamber with a pressure release valve that is in communication with a water source in the existing plumbing system; a nozzle having an inlet and an outlet; and a vacuum device for suctioning items through and blowing air out the nozzle outlet.The nozzle includes a soap reservoir that selectively dispenses soap through the nozzle outlet without soap passing through said vapor-producing chamber. The nozzle includes a selector device for choosing between a steaming mode, a vacuuming mode, a blowing mode, a soaping mode and a rinsing mode.


Lanolin-Free Absorption Base

U.S. Patent No. 7,740,874 B2; Quintessa Corporation, Capistrano Beach, CA, has patented a method of producing an emulsified absorption base. It entails heating white petrolatum up to 80°C, adding methyl glucose dioleate to the white petrolatum and mixing the two components together to form an absorption base. The absorption base is then diluted with water preheated to up to 50°C.


L’Oréal Patents Paste For Bleaching Keratin Fibers

U.S. Patent No. 7,740,663 B2; L’Oréal S.A., Paris, has been awarded a patent for an anhydrous composition in paste form for bleaching keratin fibers. It is comprised of at least one peroxygenated salt, at least one alkaline agent and at least one complex of hydrogen peroxide and at least one polymer comprising, as a monomer, at least one vinyl heterocyclic monomer.


All-Natural Cleaners

U.S. Patent No. 7,741,261 B1; Ivania Guerrero of Boca Raton, FL has patented a hard surface cleaning composition that is made of white vinegar, natural aloe vera gel, fresh rosemary, pure eucalyptus oil, lauryl glucoside and water.


Kao Patents Hair Coloring Composition

U.S. Patent No. 7,744,656 B2; KPSS-Kao Professional Salon Services GmbH, Darmstadt, Germany, has patented an aqueous composition for coloring human hair. It is comprised of at least one direct dye selected from the group consisting of cationic, anionic and neutral nitro dyes and at least one arylated silicone selected from the group consisting of diphenylsiloxy phenyl trimethicone, tetramethyl tetraphenyl trisiloxane, triphenyl trimethicone and tetramethyl tetraphenyl trisiloxane.


Single Component Hair Color Patented by Zotos

U.S. Patent No. 7,740,665 B2; Zotos International, Inc., Darien, CT, has patented a hair coloring composition formed as a dry powder storable in a single container. The composition contains oxidative dyes, direct dyes, a hydrogen peroxide liberating complex and non-aqueous additives.


P&G Patents Dryer Sheet

U.S. Patent No. 7,745,386 B2; The Procter & Gamble Company has patented a method of making a dryer sheet comprising the steps: containing a coat mix in a coat mix tank, wherein the coat mix comprises a fabric conditioning active; applying the coat mix from the coat mix tank to a nonwoven substrate to make a fabric conditioning dryer sheet; and containing a microcapsule slurry at a temperature from approximately 50°-125°C in a microcapsule slurry tank. The microcapsule slurry comprises a friable perfume microcapsule that encapsulates a perfume composition.


Crabtree & Evelyn Patents Skin Conditioning Cream

U.S. Patent No. 7,749,523 B2;Crabtree & Evelyn, Ltd., Woodstock, CT, has patented a cosmetic exfoliating composition.It is comprised of an emollient made of emollient oil, emollient hydrophobic compound and an emollient wax; a calcium or magnesium salt of a C14-C18 monocarboxylic acid; a non-irritating, mildly abrasive particulate material; a surface active agent; and water.
