US Patent No. 10,159,638 B2 (Michael J. Fevola; Tobias J. Fuetterer; Matthew A. Lohr); Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. has patented a personal care composition comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable aqueous medium, cationic polyelectrolyte, at least one surfactant; and an anionic polyelectrolyte. The composition exhibits a viscosity change that is below a minimum significant-change-threshold (Δηmin) and exhibits no measurable yield stress or increase in yield stress value when compared to a substantially identical composition that does not contain the anionic polyelectrolyte, at a weight ratio of anionic polyelectrolyte to cationic polyelectrolyte of from about 0.05 to about 1.2.
