US Patent No. 9,504,638 B2; The Procter & Gamble Company has patented a personal cleansing composition (a bar soap) comprising zinc pyrithione, surfactant and an acidic pH adjusting agent. The composition’s pH value is higher than about 9.6 and lower than about 10.3 when dispersed in an aqueous solution at one weight percent.
