Tri-K Appoints Bogadek International Business Manager



Tri-K Industries, Inc.:

Bob Bogadek has joined the company as international business manager. He will be responsible for the management of TRI-K’s global distribution network and will work closely with TRI-K’s representatives worldwide on the planning and execution of international sales activities. Prior to joining TRI-K Industries, Mr. Bogadek worked for many years at Reheis Intermediates.

Croda, Inc.: 

Maia Navarrete was hired for the new position of marketing manager, polymer technologies. She will be responsible for global business development, sales and marketing of Croda’s new line of polymer technologies. Ms. Navarrete previously worked for GE Advanced Materials and is a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists and Cosmetic Executive Women.


International Specialty Products, Inc:

Dean Ross was appointed senior business development manager, ISP Pharma Technologies. He will lead the business development activities for ISP’s new drug solubilization enhancement business in North America.

Global Closure Systems:

Christian Voegeli was appointed president of the European and North American speciality sector. He has a doctorate in engineering from Grenoble University and comes from the automotive industry.

Thierry Tomasov was appointed president of the European and North American beverage sector.

Acme-Hardesty Co.:

Joseph McKenna has been named southeast regional sales manager. He previously was with Cognis as senior account executive.

ICA, Inc.:

Steve and Cyndi Lehman have joined the InfraShine team, responsible for distributor relations for sales and education on an international level.  Known for their celebrity clientele, the Lehmans are also seasoned session hairstylists and have worked on numerous advertising campaigns, CD covers and music videos.

Estée Lauder:

John Demsey, global brand president, was promoted to group president. He will continue to oversee the Estée Lauder brand as well as M-A-C Cosmetics, Prescriptives, Sean John and Tom Ford Beauty.

Thia Breen has been promoted to president, Estée Lauder Americas and global business development, a new position. This new role gives Ms. Breen responsibility for the international business, financial control, and oversight of the new launch management function of the flagship Estée Lauder brand, in addition to her current oversight of the Americas business.

Seppic:

Joseph Pasapane was appointed senior account manager overseeing Midwest customers. He was previously with National Starch.

James Grundy will handle sales accounts for the California and western states area as a regional account manager. Previously, he was the director R&D/quality assurance/regulatory for Randall International.

Arch Personal Care Products:

Smitha Nagaraj joined the R&D Group as senior fermentation microbiologist, involved in preparing selective actives. She was previously a fermentation microbiologist at Alpharma Inc. and a study director at MicaGenix, Inc.

Markwins International:

Markwins North America president Jim Koeppl has decided to assume a less active role within the company in order to pursue opportunities within his family business. He will continue to participate for the next year as a consultant to the executive management team.

Martin Toh will continue to manage operations and will assume a greater role in the strategic development of all business units. Matt Allen will continue to manage the sales team and sales strategy for all business units, while Shawn Haynes will be responsible for the marketing of Markwins branded businesses—Wet n Wild, Black Radiance, Tropez and Soho. Eric Weeks will now be responsible for sales and marketing on the collections business inclusive of The Color Workshop, Bath, Youth and Accessories.

Purcell Jojoba International:

Sydney Anthoni has returned to the company as part of the sales and marketing team.

Terry Laboratories Inc.:

Richard T. Lane has been hired as director of global sales. He will manage the new business development, sales and marketing efforts for all Terry Laboratories products worldwide. He was previously with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.


Surefil LLC:

Tim Butcher has been named plant manager. Jeff Bevis, previously of Access Business Group, joined as chief engineer. Martin Chism will serve the company as purchasing auditor. Bob Gordon was appointed quality assurance laboratory manager.

Yankee Candle:

Mike Thorne has joined the company as senior vice president for the wholesale division. He was previously with athletic and sporting goods company Russell Corp., where he was the president of the bicycle and athletic team division.


DS Containers:

Emil Obradovich has been named vice president, sales, marketing and technical support. He has 30 years experience in the aerosol industry and was previously with U.S. Can as vice president and chief technical officer.

CCL Container:

After 23 years with the company, Sam Tameny has retired as west coast regional sales manager. He was a member of the board of Western Aerosol Information Bureau for 15 years, serving as membership chairman for five years.

Wormser Corp:

Lisa Vela-Danna has been named sales and marketing regional manager. She was formerly with Cosmolab, Inc. as sales manager.

Hill Top Research:

Bruce Nelson was hired as business development, technical director. He will work for the oral care business unit to understand and facilitate product testing needs. He was previously with Church and Dwight.

Givaudan:

Cathy Torelli was appointed senior vice president of fine fragrance sales in North America. In her new role, she will be responsible for directing the company’s commercial resources for U.S. fine fragrance accounts.

Schülke & Mayr:

Cristina Osle has joined Schülke & Mayr Division, Air Liquide Healthcare America Corporation, in the newly established position of technical sales representative. She will be responsible for the sales of the Schülke & Mayr personal care product line in the northeastern U.S. She previously worked for Limited Brands Inc., L’Oréal and Protameen Chemicals.

Pilot Chemical Corp.:

Robert Cellura was appointed to the board of directors. He is the former vice president of sales at Pilot Chemical.

Stephen King was also appointed to the board. He was the owner, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Tomah Products, Inc. until it was acquired by Exxon Chemical in April.
