Frantzen of FFS

Flavor and Fragrance Specialties:

Flavor and Fragrance Specialties has announced new additions to the organization. Robert C. Frantzen joins in the newly created position of fragrance business unit director. Prior to joining FFS, Mr. Frantzen held senior management positions with Aroma Tech and Rhodia.

Ed Duderich has been named senior buyer for FFS. Mr. Duderich brings more than eight years of experience in the flavor and fragrance industry to this position. Previously he was the strategic sourcing buyer for Chr. Hansen, Inc.

Creative Nail Design:

Appointed Mischeila Haupt as director of European sales and marketing. Ms. Haupt will be responsible for distribution strategies and market-specific promotions for Creative Nail Design’s growth in Europe. Ms. Haupt brings more than 12 years of experience in the beauty industry to Creative Nail Design, possessing a degree in international business and Master’s in business administration.

Mary Albanese has been named vice president of marketing for color accessories company, Product Club. Ms. Albanese brings over 19 years of experience in the professional beauty industry and has worked with several leading hair care manufacturers including Wella and Zotos.

With a proven track record of shaping brand images and creating integrated marketing and communications programs, coupled with successful sales and business building, Ms. Albanese will be responsible for driving growth at Product Club.

Sanclimenti of Ecru

Ecru: 

Ecru New York Cosmetic Hair Care appoints Stacey Sanclimenti to business development manager. Ms. Sanclimenti will oversee global sales management, branding and marketing for Ecru New York. She has more than a decade of experience working in the beauty industry with luxury consumer products.

Ms. Sanclimenti held executive sales management and marketing positions at prominent beauty companies in the consumer retail industry.

Cognis:

Specialty chemicals supplier Cognis has appointed Paul Allen to executive vice president, functional products, Stephane Baseden to executive vice president, nutrition & health and Richard Ridinger to executive vice president, care chemicals to the management board.

Mr. Allen has been head of Cognis’ strategic business unit functional products since January 2006 and president of Cognis Corporation in the U.S. since Feb. 2004.

Mr. Baseden has been responsible for the strategic business unit nutrition & health since November 2005. He joined Cognis as managing director France in 2003, a position he still holds today.

Mr. Ridinger has been in charge of the strategic business unit care chemicals since 2001. He has been with the company since 1986, when he began his career as a scientific employee in the sector of process technology.

Benchmarking Company:

Debra Baum has joined as director of new business development and Denise Buosi joined as research manager.

Ms. Baum previously served as general manager of Sue Devitt Beauty in the role of repackaging and merchandising as well as developing strategies and brand building.
 
Ms. Buosi worked as a market researcher for Pfizer in Argentina before joining Benchmarking. She specializes in managing, updating, collecting and formatting data from internal and external sources, and developing reports and presentations.

P&G Chemicals:

Camille Chammas was appointed vice president and general manager of P&G Chemicals. Mr. Chammas joined P&G in 1990 and succeeds Ian Edwards.

The Purist Company:

Suzanne Portefaix has been appointed supply chain manager. In the newly created role, Ms. Portefaix is responsible for establishing and maintaining communication between The Purist Company and its contract manufacturers and distributors. She will also cover sourcing and procurement of ingredients and packaging materials.

3Lab:

Spencer A. Kanis joins 3Lab prestige skin care as president. A veteran beauty and fragrance executive with previous management positions with Intercosmetics and Estée Lauder International, Mr. Kanis is responsible for all U.S. operations for the line.

He will also be responsible for guiding the brand through its upcoming expansion, plans for product introductions and growing 3Lab’s retail presence in Asia and Europe. Prior to joining 3Lab Mr. Kanis was president of U.S. retail operations for Luxe fragrances.

EMD Chemicals:

EMD Chemicals appointed Meiken Krebs to president and chief executive officer. Ms. Krebs will be responsible for EMD Chemicals, Biosciences, Inc., Crop BioScience Inc., all North American affiliates of Merck KGaA and Darmstadt. Ms. Krebs has been with Merck KGaA since 2003 as vice president of corporate auditing and risk management.

Alcan Packaging Group:

Ilene Gordon has been appointed to the board of directors as a senior vice president of Alcan Inc. and president and chief executive officer of Alcan Packaging. Ms. Gordon is presently president of Alcan’s Food Packaging Americas sector. She succeeds Christel Bories, who was recently appointed president and chief executive officer of Alcan Engineered Products. Both appointments took effect December 1, 2006.

Ms. Gordon also becomes a member of Alcan’s executive committee. Ms. Gordon has served in her current role since 2004. Prior to Pechiney’s integrations with Alcan, Ms. Gordon was president of Pechiney Plastic Packaging, Inc., a global flexible and rigid packaging company.

Reckitt Benckiser:

Reckitt Benckiser India Ltd. appointed Stefan Gaa as the regional marketing director, South Asia. Mr. Gaa, who is replacing Anne Engerant, will be responsible for the marketing functions in South Asia, which includes India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Indonesia. Mr. Gaa joined Reckitt Benckiser Germany in October 2000 as part of the marketing team, where he initially worked on Airwick. He was named global brand manager, innovation before moving to join the Indian team at Gurgaon in September 2006.

Cosmolab:

Cosmolab, Inc. helps strengthen its core business, increase market share and drive product innovation with five new additions.

Jean-Marie Collé has been promoted to the new position of vice president global sales and marketing.  Mr. Collé, an experienced sales and marketing executive with a background in color cosmetics, joined Cosmolab, Inc. in 2005 as managing director of Cosmolab Europe. 

Bobby R. Henson, an accomplished senior sales executive and Cosmolab, Inc. veteran, has returned to the company as vice president sales after a 10 year absence. 

Koert VanderVoort, a 25-year fragrance industry executive, has joined Cosmolab as vice president business development. He was most recently vice president global sales at Symrise and vice president global account manager at Givaudan Fragrances, Inc. 
 
Debra McDonough has joined Cosmolab, Inc. as vice president marketing. A cosmetic industry veteran, she has worked most recently in the media and fashion businesses.

Hugh Hasty has been named vice president product development and customer service. Mr. Hasty was perviously managing director of Cosmolab Asia based in Taiwan. l
