Beiersdorf has announced several personnel changes. The changes to the executive board and new managers are designed to drive forward growth market activities, the company said.

Ümit Subaşı, Beiersidorf’s executive board member responsible for the emerging markets area since March 2011, is leaving the company in amicable agreement on July 31 to pursue new ventures.

Effective July 1, Stefan De Loecker will become the corporate senior VP with responsibility for the Near East region, including Russia, Turkey, the Middle East, Africa, and India. Stefan De Loecker graduated in business administration from the University of Antwerp and then worked for more than 20 years in a number of management positions both at home and abroad for Nestlé, Vevey. From 2008 to 2011, he managed the company’s businesses throughout the Russian Federation as CEO of Nestlé’s Russian subsidiary. Most recently, he worked for British retail group Tesco Plc.

Patrick Kaminski has recently taken over as corporate senior vice president responsible for the operating business in the Far East region, including China, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Australia. Stefan De Loecker and Patrick Kaminski have long and successful track records in the international consumer and branded goods industry and many years’ experience in the respective regions.

The new management will report directly to the chairman of the executive board, Stefan F. Heidenreich.

Dr. Ulrich Schmidt will be responsible from now on for the Latin America region alongside his executive Board duties.
