P&G Experts To Speak at CES

Procter & Gamble will be back at CES next month. In addition to its presence on the expo hall, P&G experts will also speak during sessions held throughout the multi-day event.

Mark Sivik, senior director research fellow, Procter & Gamble, will speak during “Tech Dev in Low Earth Orbit – An Astronaut's Perspective from Space,” a session scheduled at CES 2023 in Las Vegas. The session begins at 9 am on Jan. 6, 2023.

Dr. Sivik works in the strategic innovation and technology division for fabric and home care. Since joining P&G in 1992, he has worked on new technologies such as softener actives, bleach activators, pro-perfumes, surfactants, and polymers. His experience spans molecular design, synthesis, models and mechanisms of biodegradable actives.

The session will also include Michael Roberts, PhD, chief science officer, International Space Station National Laboratory. and the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS), a non-profit NGO that manages the only national lab off Earth, for the Earth. It is the mission of the ISS National Lab to advance fundamental and use-inspired science in space that advances knowledge, accelerates economic and technological innovation.

P&G has worked with ISS to conduct research on the viability of cleaning detergents for use in space and the development of low-resource-use laundry solutions for more sustainable, everyday products on Earth.

Also speaking at CES is Mercy Chang, senior purchasing manager, Procter & Gamble. She has held various purchasing roles sourcing for marketing, sales and information technology. Change’s current focus is on sourcing future innovation to build new capabilities for the corporate R&D organization.

Chang will be part of the session sponsored by P&G called “ Partnering on AI Capability Today to Accelerate Innovation Tomorrow.” It will be held on the Startup Stage inside the Venetian Expo Hall on January 5, 2023.
