P&G Names New Head of Gillette Unit

Procter & Gamble Co. announced James M. Kilts, Gillette vice chairman, will step down as head of the Gillette business unit and will focus on its integration until his retirement on Oct. 1. Cincinnati-based Procter & Gamble acquired Gillette last year. Mr. Kilts will be replaced as the head of the Gillette unit by Mark M. Leckie, who is currently president of global Duracell and Braun. He will take the title of group president, Gillette global business unit. Joseph F. Dooley, who serves as president of North American commercial operations, will replace Mr. Leckie as president of Duracell. The position changes are effective July 1, the company said.
