Playtex Partners With Delaware Economic Development

Playtex Products, Inc. announced that it intends to enter into a partnership agreement with the State of Delaware to continue its operations in Dover. Since 1937, Playtex has been in Delaware where it presently employs approximately 700 associates. The Company has administrative and manufacturing facilities in Dover where it produces Playtex tampons and Playtex Drop-In’s disposable bottle-feeding insert liners, and operates an infant feeding products pack-out facility. The artnership agreement includes a commitment from Delaware to provide up to $4 million in grants for job retention, associate training, capital investments and research and development. Playtex has agreed to maintain a minimum employment level of 630 full-time associates in Dover at least through the five-year grant period. The grant provides Playtex the flexibility needed to continue to successfully operate in Dover.
