QC Packaging Adds BST Genius

A new BST Genius print management system has been purchased by QC Packaging, Missisauga, Canada, to be installed on the company’s new Arpeco 10-color press.
The BST Genius system includes print defect detection, automatic color monitoring and in-line bar code verification. It will be fully integrated into the press controls with an 18” graphic user touch screen and a 21” monitor on articulated arms, company executives said.
QC Packaging specializes in short-run folding cartons with high-impact graphics and special decorations including in-line foil stamping, lamination and embossing. QC operates a 50,000 square foot facility.
