Read the Tea Leaves! Is Tea in Your Future?

Next to water, tea is the most popular drink in the world. According to the Tea Association of the USA, approximately four in five US consumers drink tea, with millennials being the most likely candidates. The drink is so popular, in fact, that Dunkin' Donuts, that bastion of brewed beans, is said to be considering acquiring a tea brand to complement its coffee offerings. The most logical purchase, according to The Street, is David's Tea, a small retail operation based primarily in Canada, but with 23 doors in the US as well. Moreover, the move would follow in the footsteps of chief rival Starbucks, which acquired loose leaf tea purveyor Teavana for $620 million a little more than three years ago.

With demand for tea on the rise, it only makes sense that the beauty industry turns back the clock a few years to revisit the white tea trend that captured the fancy of Estée Lauder and other marketers.
