The Research Institute for Fragrance Materials’ Principal Scientist for Environmental Safety, Aurelia Lapczynski, will participate at the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) Asia-Pacific 14th Biennial Meeting from Sept. 21-25, 2024, in Tianjin, China.

Aurelia Lapczynski

Lapczynski will present on data-driven decision-making using advanced high-throughput environmental risk assessment of fragrance materials during the New Approach Methodology in Ecotoxicology and Risk Assessment – Theory and Applications sessions on Sunday, Sept. 22 from 1:30 to 5:30 pm and on Monday, Sept. 23 from 8:30 am to noon China Standard Time.

“I’m very excited to share how RIFM conducts the environmental risk assessment of fragrance materials,” Lapczynski said. “This is an ideal environment for us to begin sharing some of RIFM’s new scientific approaches, including new alternative methodologies, or NAMs, as covered in our updated Environmental Framework, but especially the expansion of our Framework to additional regions – including the Asia-Pacific.”
