S. Curtis Johnson, billionaire heir to the SC Johnson cleaning product fortune, entered a not guilty plea this morning to charges of repeatedly sexually assaulting a child.
Michael Nieskes, district attorney in Racine, WI, told Forbes that Johnson waived his right to a pre-trial hearing. He’ll next appear at a pre-trial conference on May 20, when attorneys from both sides will meet to discuss the case, including the possibility of resolution. Johnson also requested to be tried in front of a jury when he briefly appeared in court this morning.
Johnson was charged on March 24, and is alleged to have had inappropriate contact with his 15-year-old stepdaughter between 2007 and 2010.
