Embracing change is the theme of the annual meeting of the Soap and Detergent Association here in Orlando and the association unveiled a big change here in Orlando.

The group will change its name to the American Cleaning Institute, with the tagline: “for better living.” The new name goes into effect in June.

In unveiling the ACI name, incoming SDA chairman Jane Hutterly of S.C. Johnson said ACI “reflects the value and benefits that our products represent.”

The name change will coincide with a major redesign and launch of the Association’s website, www.cleaning101.com.

“Under the ACI banner, the Institute will still reflect our organization’s vision: to enhance health and the quality of life through sustainable cleaning products and practices,” said Ernie Rosenberg, SDA presidentand CEO.“The Institute will continue to support the sustainability of the cleaning products industry through research, education, outreach and science-based advocacy.”

More information about SDA’s transition to ACI will be featured on the Association’s website, www.cleaning101.com.
