Sealed Air Reports Q3 Sales

Diversey Care unit see volumes rise but currency impacts numbers.

Sealed Air has reported that Diversey Care’s net sales decreased 8.9% as reported (and increased 3.9% on a constant dollar basis) to $502 million in the third quarter. Currency had a negative impact on net sales of 12.8%, the firm said. Volume increased 2.5% and favorable price/mix was 1.4%. Diversey Care’s adjusted EBITDA was $66 million or 13.2% of net sales.
 
In the third quarter, on an organic basis, Diversey’s company wide net sales were $1.75 billion, an increase of 2.7%.
 
 “We are pleased with our third quarter results in light of currency headwinds and ongoing global economic uncertainties, particularly in emerging markets,” said Sealed Air Corporation’s president and CEO Jerome A. Peribere. “
 
For the full year, Sealed Air is estimating total net sales of approximately $7.0 billion.
