SeneGence International Expands Into UK

Direct sales marketer will now target a new region.

After 11 years of growth in the U.S., Australia, Canada and Indonesia, SeneGence International, a direct sales company specializing in long-lasting cosmetics and anti-aging skin care, will brand out into the United Kingdom.

Consumers in the UK will now have the opportunity to purchase the entire line of over 50 shades of LipSense, as well as eight shades of LipSense Gloss and Ooops! Remover, according to the company.

“Our method of international expansion into a new country begins by first introducing the LipSense collection. Depending on how LipSense is received as well as the consumer purchasing habits in each respective country, we then progressively introduce our other long-lasting color cosmetics and anti-aging skincare. Based on our research, the United Kingdom is a great market for expansion,” said SeneGence Founder and CEO Joni Rogers-Kante.

According to the U.S. Commercial Service United Kingdom, affiliated with the U.S. Department of Commerce, the United Kingdom is a good potential market for imported cosmetics. Over the forecast period (2010 to 2013), sales of color cosmetics in the United Kingdomare expected to increase in value by around 4.3% to reach $1.93 billion in 2013 and imports represent approximately 70% of the market.

Since the debut of the premier product LipSense in 1999, SeneGence has been a privately owned, network marketing company that is in the business of developing and selling personal care products through an independent sales network of distributors.
