Seventh Generation says it will roll out a laundry detergent bottle made from 100% recycled cardboard and newspaper.

The bottle, which has a plastic pouch inside that holds the ultraconcentrated detergent, uses 66% less plastic than conventional laundry bottles. When empty, the bottle can be ripped in half and recycled with newspapers; the plastic bag is recyclable in many cities as well.

The eco-foucsed household products will initially ship approximately 25% of its bottles out of cardboard as it gages consumer reaction.
