Shin-Etsu Silicones of America, Inc. (SESA hires Ra’Kia as a chemist

Shin-Etsu Silicones of America, Inc. (SESA): hired Ra’Kia as a chemist to oversee development of hair care specialties for the Cosmetics Application Laboratory (CAL) in Totowa, NJ. 

Ra’Kia joins the CAL team with recent experience as a senior R&D chemist for Zotos International where her primary focus was on formulations of hair and body care products. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Howard University, Washington, D.C., and a master’s degree in cosmetic science from Fairleigh Dickerson University in Teaneck, NJ. 

Reporting to Shin-Etsu’s CAL Team Leader Janine Cherette, Ra’Kia’s primary focus will be to manage advancements for silicone usage in hair care formulation performance that will offer a diverse range of benefits.
