Shiseido Americas Corporation, a subsidiary of Shiseido Company, Limited, a leading global beauty company, announced several new leadership appointments aimed at accelerating its commitment to growth and innovation across the region as it continues to execute against Shiseido’s long-term strategy.

Over the past two years, Shiseido Americas has made significant investments in talent, marketing, research and new technology platforms in support of its regional strategic priorities and its parent company’s global mission.

“Today, the Americas region continues to be dynamic, resilient and most of all, a compelling opportunity for growth,” said Ron Gee, president and CEO, Shiseido Americas, and global leader, M&A for Shiseido. “As a key strategic priority for Shiseido, we will continue to focus our energies on the Americas region, particularly among our marketing, commercial and digital functions.”

Agnes Landau has been appointed chief marketing officer, US, a newly created role. Landau will lead marketing and merchandising for the company’s Shiseido brand, Clé de Peau Beauté, NARS, Issey Miyake, Narciso Rodriguez, Hermès Fragrances and Tory Burch Beauty. Landau will focus on gaining market share and building brand equity, directly addressing evolving US consumer trends, and elevating the company’s overall strategic marketing capabilities. Landau will also be responsible for creating a diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic roadmap for all Shiseido Americas US businesses, ensuring the company’s brands, products and consumer engagement strategies better represent more inclusive definitions of beauty. Previously, Landau held several senior leadership positions at The Estée Lauder Companies.

Louanne McGrory, formerly president, Shiseido Canada, has been appointed chief commercial officer, US. McGrory, a 25-year veteran of Shiseido, will oversee all US retailer relationships, driving the company’s commercial business and guiding customer experience. Landau and McGrory will partner to fortify Shiseido Americas’ US business and ensure sustained growth.

Antonio Andrade, formerly senior vice president, LATAM, where he oversees the company’s Latin America business, has been appointed president, Shiseido Canada and LATAM. In addition to his current responsibilities, Andrade will oversee the Canada business. Building on his more than 20 years with Shiseido, Andrade will focus on growth and commercialization in these two key markets within the Americas region.

Addressing an increased need for insightful, actionable consumer data and a more concentrated effort around the emerging possibilities of Web3 and the Metaverse, the company also announced the appointment of Mary Gerzema, former senior vice president of Consumer Insights and Digital Media, to executive vice president, marketing intelligence & consumer engagement. In addition to overseeing media, Gerzema will assume new responsibility for Shiseido Americas’ digital transformation function as well as a new Web3/Metaverse Group.

“The changes we announced today ensure that we have top talent, both new and internal, in the right functions to drive growth,” said Gee. “I am pleased to welcome Agnes to Shiseido Americas, and I look forward to working with Louanne, Mary and Antonio in their new and expanded roles.”
