One-day course set for August 19 at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, NJ

The New York Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists will hold a one-day workshop entitled, “Skin Aging and Inflammation—Does One Condition Lead to Another?” on August 19, at Farleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck. The course instructor is Nava Dayan PhD. The cost is $25 for members and $150 for non-members. Topics will include: skin layers and structures, changes at the molecular and cellular levels, common approaches to formulate skin aging cosmetic products, testing methods, advanced glycation, metalloproteinases and clock genes, inflammation and its triggers, biochemical pathways and strategies to prevent inflammation.
