SOCMA Presents Awards For Corporate Excellence

The Synthetic Organic Chemical Manu-facturers Association (SOCMA), Wash-ington, DC, announced its member recognition award winners for 2004. The awards were presented on Sept. 14 at SOCMA’s second annual Corporate Excellence conference. Award recipients included: Margaret Walker of Dow Chemical Co. and chair of SOCMA’s Responsible Care task force (2004 Leadership award); Stu Needleman of Rhodia ChiRex, Inc. and chair of the INFORMEX committee (2004 Distin-guished Service award) and Rick Kane of Rhodia, Inc., and chair of SOCMA’s Employee and Process Safety committee (2004 Advocate of the Year award).
“Each of these recipients is being recognized for their dedication and hard work,” said SOCMA president Joseph Acker. “I know all of SOCMA’s members will join me in thanking them for hard work and dedication and in congratulating them on the achievements and awards.”
