New Steamboost floor care system out now.
August 13, 2013

Nearly two thirds (65%) of women say that they are always doing little things to improve the look of their homes. And while nearly everyone has a routine for keeping their floors clean, traditional cleaning methods may produce undesirable results.
That’s why P&G product engineers teamed up to develop Swiffer Bissell Steamboost, a new device that leverages the capabilities of Swiffer, a pioneer in the cleaning systems category, and Bissell Homecare Inc., the global floor care appliance company.
“People were shocked when we showed them the amount of dirt that’s often left behind after cleaning their floors,” said Corey Schmidt, a scientist for P&G’s Swiffer brand. “Swiffer Bissell Steamboost, was designed to exceed consumer expectations by easily powering through dirt and grease that typically required scrubbing, while also removing, trapping and locking the grime completely instead of spreading it around the floor.”
Steamboost ingeniously couples the power of steam with the innovative cleaning technology of Swiffer to deeply, yet safely, penetrate and help remove soils that mops can leave behind on hard surface floors.
The steam’s heat activates the dirt-dissolving solution in the cleaning pad. This chemistry breaks down dirt and, using Swiffer technology, traps and locks it away, providing a visibly better clean.
In addition to activating the cleaning solution, the steam’s heat releases fresh scents like Open Window and Lavender Vanilla and Comfort from the cleaning pads, providing a pleasant aroma that reinforces a job well done. Once all of the dirt and soils are trapped in the cleaning pads, they can easily be tossed away.
According to the company, Swiffer Bissell Steamboost is safe to use on a variety of surfaces, including marble, stone, ceramic tile, vinyl, linoleum, finished hardwood and laminate flooring.
