Aims to revolutionize skin soothing and sensitive skincare with a natural patented synergistic complex.

Symrise has introduced a new ingredient, SymRelief green, a patented cosmetic solution that synergistically combines biotech bisabolol and ginger root extract to soothe visibly and deeply sensitive skin.
It provides immediate and long-lasting relief from visible irritations, decreasing the appearance of redness and increasing skin comfort.
SymRelief green is 100% derived from natural ingredients, helping to address the growing demand for effective natural solutions. It aims at counteracting the underlying causes of hypersensitivity at multiple levels and preventing so-called inflammaging by protecting collagen and targeting COL17A1 (the gene involved in skin structure protection). Thus, it helps cosmetic brands meet rising consumer demand for holistic skin soothing. Formulators benefit from a cost-effective, easy-to-use solution that maintains color and odor in formulations and can go into a wide range of applications across skin and body care.
To create SymRelief green, Symrise used its 70 years of expertise in bisabolol, well known for its purity and soothing effects. By combining these properties with ginger root extract’s boosting effects in the optimal ratio, SymRelief green decreases skin sensitivity and brings additional inflammaging benefits, while working more effectively than bisabolol alone in several aspects. Its key benefits have been scientifically validated in clinical efficacy tests, per company officials.
SymRelief green can also help cosmetics brands to fulfill their responsible beauty commitments. The sustainably designed bisabolol is using biotechnology, making SymRelief green a 100% Natural Origin Content (NOC) product per ISO 16128. The solution is also biodegradable and meets vegan, halal and kosher standards.
“We are offering a nature-powered, scientifically validated solution that provides both immediate relief and long-term protection. Also, it is aligning with consumer expectations for more natural and sustainable solutions,” said Lili Baraton Sintes, global product manager at Symrise. “We are building on 70 years at the forefront of sensitive skin solutions. Now, we are taking a proud next step in our continuous development of innovative cosmetic ingredients that efficiently improve skin comfort and well-being.”
