In recognition of World Mental Health Day (Oct. 10), Japanese beauty and skincare brand Tatcha is emphasizing the connection between healthy skin and emotional well-being with a new partnership with the meditation app, Open.

The two brands have co-created a seven-class guided program that transforms the act of caring for skin into a mindful ritual. Through breathwork and meditation, daily routines become opportunities to ease stress, cultivate presence and awaken a deeper connection to self, officials said. By caring for both mind and skin, participants are left brighter and more radiant and more aligned with their inner beauty.

Skin-Mind, Same Root

The partnership was born from a shared belief that true beauty is a reflection of harmony within. The collaboration reflects Tatcha’s guiding principle hinou-dokon, the Japanese phrase for “skin-mind, same root.” The brain and skin arise from the same cells during development, creating a lifelong dialogue between inner state and outward appearance. Stress manifests not only in how humans feel, but also in how the skin looks. Through this collaboration, Tatcha and Open invite participants to slow down, breathe deeply and reimagine daily care as a pathway to both radiance and self-love. Beyond the digital program, the year-long partnership will extend into community events and opportunities to unlock complimentary access, creating inclusive spaces for the care of both skin and soul.

The Tatcha x Open program is available on the Open app, with year-round initiatives, including community events, sampling, and opportunities to unlock complimentary program access to follow.
